Veronica Blea joins the Foundation as Manager of Community Grantmaking. She will oversee the Foundation’s community grantmaking portfolio, which provides funding to nonprofit organizations in San Diego County working in the fields of visual and performing arts, health treatment, medical research, and youth agency. Veronica combines a deep passion for community engagement with a long background in service to others. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, she went on to a career of social service in the San Diego region, most recently as Director of Supportive Services at Interfaith Community Services, where she has provided support for people in need for nearly a decade.

Victor Alcalá joins as the Foundation’s Grants Administrator, providing administrative support to the programs, finance, and operations team. An expert in database management and systems integration, Victor has spent the past fifteen years helping to meet our community’s needs at the MAAC Project in Chula Vista and most recently at the United Way of San Diego County.

We are so excited to bring these two extremely dedicated and talented individuals to the Foundation, and we know that our grantees and colleagues in the field will enjoy collaborating with them.
