As Grants Administrator, Victor Alcala provides key administrative support to both potential and existing grantees. Working under the direction of the Director of Operations, he maintains several databases and collaborates with multiple foundation teams to ensure compliance with grant procedures and quality standards. In addition, Victor assists the Operations Department in implementing internal controls and processes, contributing to the foundation’s efficiency and consistency.

Before joining the foundation, Victor spent over 15 years supporting San Diego’s nonprofit sector. His passion for service began at the MAAC Project, where he served as Program Administrator and Data Manager, providing direct services and developing a participant outcomes database. He further honed his skills as a Research Analyst at United Way of San Diego County, where he gained a deeper appreciation for data evaluation and used analytics to support local school districts.

Victor earned his bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Azusa Pacific University and holds several certifications in database administration.
